High-Level Summary:
January was a busy month for EPO! The EPO team enjoyed collaborating, learning, and networking at the AAS conference. In addition, the needs assessment contractors completed their remote Chile interviews and in-person interviews in Chicago and Washington D.C. and have begun the research analysis phase. LSST EPO also plans to leverage multimedia contractors in the coming months to capture historical footage of the summit construction for future education and outreach use. At the same time, the EPO team is pursuing an aggressive hiring schedule for three open positions: Science Writer, Education Specialist, and Cloud Infrastructure Engineer. Progress is also being made in the area of citizen science, with a core advisory group selected and a preliminary workflow drafted. And finally, EPO is assisting the LSST Project Office with selecting and implementing a Digital Asset Management solution.
